April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player from the United States She is one of a small category of females who have been awarded medals at several Olympics. In Tokyo in the coming days, she'll try to net her third medal alongside first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross hopes to win an Olympic first gold medal however, she also hopes to earn even more. There is a chance that it is her last chance at winning, as she's 39 old. Her confidence is high but she is not sure. Ross said on NBC Boston that if they play their best, or even a good game and they are able to play well, the team could win a gold medal. So I'm going to take some luck as well. Ross was a Californian born in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa along with her parents and younger sister. While at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many different sports. She was a basketball player and also ran track, in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. While she did well in indoor volleyball, it was clear that her skills were above average. When she played in her high school volleyball career, according to her college profile, she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. She was awarded by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999 for her achievements. Also, in 2000 she was named Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been performing their roles from 2017. The reality is that Ross was an important player on the beach volleyball circuit prior to the pair. As a matter of fact Ross has been a winner of several major tournaments in her career together with two other partners. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, between 2007 and the year 2013. She also worked with Klineman and herself. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who was the winner of the world championship with Kessy in 2009, was also significant on the international stage. They went into winning a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor clinched gold beating them to it. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. The pair won bronze in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross was a student athlete for USC Trojans before starting her professional career. She played during high school, and even before hitting the beach professionally. She had a great run through the college. She was a All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. She also helped the Trojans get to the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss during her sophomore year, however, she was able to achieve the All-American title. Over her final two years within the team, she guided the Trojans up to the top of the mountain by winning two three consecutive championships at the national level. For her part, she cemented her place as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the best female college volleyball players in the United States. Ross was an USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross never saw her daughter make it to the top in beach volleyball. Ross's mom passed away due to cancer of the breast when she was in her sophomore year at USC. Ross holds her mother very dearly. Margie is a constant source of inspiration to her both in and out of the water.
