Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in her signature blend. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway through the Democratic National Convention to the European party and concert scenes. Sunshine was born Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta Her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she initially began her journey as musician through playing guitar and singing in the church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical learning began. She was a part of the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You a House 12 was only released in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and is the mainstay of her live show. Her voice was also added on the soundtrack to The Fighting Temptations. In 2005she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out for the role of director of choral for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2008 inaugural.
